I am so excited to share my practice with you! My name is Lisa-Mary O’Donnell, MD and I have been practicing pediatrics in Bergen County since 2005. Prior to that, I was fortunate enough to do my pediatric residency at Schneider Children’s Hospital (LIJ). It was there that I was afforded the opportunity to work with and counsel teens. I was involved in numerous research projects involving adolescents which have since been published in peer-related journals. My medical school years were spent at St. George’s University Medical School where I was elected a peer counselor and mentor. My training allowed for me to head overseas where I worked in an ER in Canterbury, England. It also allowed me to spend time in various hospitals throughout the US, including Miami Children’s Hospital where I trained extensively with newborns in the NICU.
I have a Masters in Nutrition from Columbia University. This comes in handy for dietary intakes, calculating calories, and dealing with food allergies/ aversions. My experience takes me from food intolerances and difficulties in infants through obesity in children all the way up to eating disorders in teens.
On a personal note, I am married to a NYC firefighter (FDNY) and have 4 AMAZING young sons who I take pride in every single day.
For those that I have been fortunate enough to care for, it has been an honor to watch your children blossom and grow over the past 8 years. For those I have yet to meet, please know that I will provide the best individualized care you could ask for. My goal is to (continue to) optimally care for your AMAZING KID with a personal touch until adulthood.
